There is a certain magic to staying out in nature. When the sun has set, the world has become still and all you can hear is the crackle of the fire, the distant sound of waves rolling onto the shore, and the night settling over the coastline. At Blackwood House on Tasmania's east coast, our mission from the very beginning has been to craft an experience that brings you back to that feeling, one that builds towards those quiet moments of connection and tranquillity.
Ease into the morning with birdsong and sunlight on the deck. Lose an afternoon in the study, working through the bookshelves while the light shifts outside. Swim in the ocean, watch the black swans, and let the day unwind at its own pace. As evening falls, light the fire pit, pour a whisky, and settle in as the darkness deepens over Falmouth. Then look up — see the Milky Way blaze overhead, unobscured in Tasmania's dark skies. Here you'll feel yourself being restored by these simple rhythms, and by the landscape that holds it all.
