Blackwood House was created from a belief that time spent in nature can restore a sense of balance, clarity, and wellbeing. We have long been drawn to this part of Tasmania's east coast and spend much of our time walking its beaches, exploring its tracks, and getting to know the landscape through the changing seasons. That connection to place shaped our vision for Blackwood: a home that encourages guests to slow down, spend time outdoors, and reconnect with the natural world.

The house takes its name from the Blackwood tree that stands in the garden, a native species that reflects both the character of the property and its connection to the surrounding landscape. More than simply a place to stay, Blackwood is an invitation to experience this remarkable corner of Tasmania in a deeper and more meaningful way.
